ok... i have the sammie 2000... the scopes i have are ... c8 and soon to be here.. next day or 2 .. c80 edapo..
iam thinking of mounting the 80 on the c8 .. i was thinking of using the c8 as visual and the 80 as video. so folks at out reachs could compare what vid shows and eye sees..
but i also got to thinking... what cam can i toss on the c8 and maybe get deeper with it .. or just get another sammie?? or one of them cams in the other link for 25 bucks ?? are they goin to stand up to what the sammie can do ?
no idea what where to go on this trip ... so any help on the road trip would be awsome.. all ideas are welcome.. even if its a cup of water as a lens lol ... i do know i plan on gettin one of them STARSENSE form celestron . so i can spend more time viewing then aligning lol .. so cost on the next cam might be a issue.. keeping that in mind ..

Hey Phil, how about the LN300 set-up to do Video Astronomy. Under $99 for just the camera or $169 for the full kit. Scroll down on this page: mallincam.tripod.com/id64.html

ok so it is there cam . lol i was lookin at that . thought they look a lot alike...
the kit has all but the remote menu... the c/cs ep is around 30 bucks here. so even if i got the cam from hong kong with shipping and the c/cs ep its 130 bucks .. by the time you wire up 25 foot of video and power wire . theres 30 bucks. so less headaches. ill just have to make a remote menu box n wire is all.. sweet
ok thats the way iam goin .. the mirco setup from mr m ...
thank you guys..

For the price your going to pay for a LN300 and buying all the bits and pieces to make a remote you might as well buy the micro, plus with the micro being nice and small it can double up as a guider if you want to go that way later on, and you will know it will work straight out of the box, best of both worlds. If you have already got power and video cables I'd just buy
camera body $99 cs ep off ebay $16 new wired remote and rs 485 cable $69.99

yes john.. that is what i was thinking.. the remote is a bit high in price. but will see how the cam goes. when i order it.. i was goin to mount the 80 on the sct. but to much for the balance and the mount itself. so not 100% sure what iam goin to do. ill just have to fiddle around with the 80 and get to know her a bit better.. then go from there..
