this is my three camera array (ok one camera missing for the unveiling lol)missing camera is the phil dyer...the two Samsung cameras will be controlled via two utc controllers...cant find a controller for the phil dyer yet ... once I have the shotgun cables can get it all wired for testing. yes its all compact and you would think the dome camera might pick up other camera.. ... nope its bang on ..I may have a success story with this mod first time build ..davy..

do you plan on recording all the cams at the same time all night?

cameras will record at same time..can pick a section of sky and record with all three or widen the field by moving outer cameras..not realy thought about all nighters for recording..was more of portability thought the design..take the array to a dark site, put the cameras out have the cctv dvr, moniter in the car and run from a car battery..nice warm car to sit in..utc controllers in the car to change settings on the sammies..will eventualy get a watec 902h and put it on a mini tripod and let it record as well since its a four channel dvr..this should be very portable and set up in jig time

Very interesting idea, Davy -- I'm curious about the applications that inspired this design.

rick, the finest psychologists in the world could not fathom out where these ideas come from..it's different lol..should be ready in a couple of hours but weather poor again. .cant figure out myself how it will pan out. .its a wait n see..but if its a waste of time I will put up the findings and conclusions. .lol..save someone else trying it

I think its super cool. I am thinking of one big application -- meteor showers. You get the bonus of the all-sky cam, but you can also concentrate on the the radial point with the other cam(s).

got my power cable made . running from my bench supply to test. .have interference in monitor, was expecting that..have a nice leasure battery in the work charging for the set up..initial result im happy,I done rough focus on the moon and rough shutter speeds on both box cams.wow seeing moon on two cams at diff focal ranges was nice..cant wait till I get time to test outdoor with all three cams feeding my screen
rick if it works as good as I think it will a watec 902h2 will be my fourth cam and it will be for meteor..so far im delighted. .small tweaks and I will try a dark site..davy

same here john,,price was going up n up..probably bidding against each other..lol.. they got back to me They are just part of a larger company,,here is the reply I got back.. Hello Davy, Interesting, personally I would use an IP camera for ease of use and the high resolution that these give, as well as the larger CCD or CMOS chip fitted, for low light pick-up like your doing more is suitable possibly. You can also then view this as a live stream over a network or the internet so may be easier also. We only sell used equipment I am sorry to say, (recon-CCTV is for Reconditioned CCTV) but our parent company retails a large amount of new equipment: www.selecsecurityproducts.co.uk should this be of help. Kind Regards, Lesley.

Not me either. I placed a bid I could live with then went to my daughters wedding, so I had no chance to counter bid. I only bid on one cam and let you know it was the first so that we could avoid bidding against each other. Mine went for £26. Don't know about the others.

I think they all went for about £26 - £35 still a good price even if they were internal ones, you can buy external casings cheap or a bit of mastic around the base of the glass to seal it up. Them PZT IP domes with high Def and sence up are a couple of hundred quid for a decent one and use it for all sky and security when nobodies at home, you can also view your stream with your mobile. might get one in the new year.
got car tax end of this month so that's buggered what I was on planning to get. Its a bugger when your Wonga comes in at the end of the month
