Had all the artillery set up today but nothing to shoot - on the sun, that is! So here is the gear used. The monitor on the left is a multi-function and takes every input except SDI. The standard camera EP unit that comes with the Wedge does not allow enough in-travel when using a focal reducer, so a small adaptor to make. It is interchangeable so nothing is damaged or lost. I have made another mod to my LUNT 600 mm solar scope, and I like using Baader Click Lock holders, they keep everything concentric. The curtains are a must for solar work, for obvious reasons. I sit in front of the computers & monitors normally. My 1960's astronomy was never like this! From the outside looking into the 4 m (12 foot) main observatory. The Pentax Helicoid focuser with some serious precision modifications for fine focusing. At least I finished making a couple of adapters, one for the Herschel Wedge and one for the Coronograph to fit a DSLR by modifying a Pentax K Helicoid focuser that I have had over 25 years! A fun day all told. Clear skies... Shevill
