My main mount is the eq3/2 pro ..reason for getting this mount at the time was to do astrophotography, I had got myself a canon 400d but my etx80 couldn't hold the weight, kept slipping the clutch..so it had to be cheap and portable was storing it in carols under the stairs. Lol..like the goto (lazy astronmer syndrome) and with so much up there I thought its going to take years to learn...so I look at nice pretty images in books and hit goto on synscan..its been a better mount since doing the eqtooth mod to make it wireless and eqmod with cartes de ciel software. .still pretty portable ..was going to save for the eq6 but no point with doing astrovideo now..

Davy, if you ever want to upgrade to a bigger mount you don't really need to go to an EQ6 unless you want to use a massively heavy scope. The HEQ5 is plenty strong and accurate, yet a lot lighter and cheaper than the EQ6. Not the EQ5, the HEQ5.

I use the EQ3/2 Pro Goto. I normally do a one star align due to the sky I can see which works fine. One thing I have noticed is when used with the 150p it is not fond of any wind. Other than that its a good portable mount.
