Hi, Had another nice sunrise and clear skies around 7.30, so after a delayed start raced up to open the dome turn all the gear on, had a short break before the clouds & front moved in. Managed about 15-minutes to get some very quick shots of the sun in Hydrogen alpha to test my ASI120MC-S USB 3.0. LUNT 60 mm 1200. Poor seeing and transparency, the sun is still down in the weeds at 10.00 am this time of the year. Shot 100 .bmp single frames using FireCapture (which I am not very familiar with yet, so many features, it is a magic piece of astro software supplies with the camera. I was hoping to shoot some with the mono ASI120MM, the clouds killed off that idea. Lots of nice activityso frustrating with winter weather and a low sun angle. Less than 20-degrees. Uneven illumination when double stacked, no time to fiddle with settings. I think I used a 50% FR for the whole disc shots. The lower image is not double stacked Clear skies... Shevill

Very nice Shevill! Some lovely detail there! Looks like the new cam is working well! How does it perform at 60+fps? Also i do agree firecapture seems a nice piece of software! I have found it can be a little flaky though... random crashes etc. Mostly i found it mainly crashes when playing about with the resolution and ROI settings. Im still trying to get my head around the 'pre-processing' options! For some mad reason i cant select 'Average' to try the stacking... that option is not there when i have my camera connected. But if i load up firecapture and just use the dummy camera option the 'average' is there.... no idea why! More messing about is needed Looking forward to seeing more pics man!

Very good results Shevill.
Nice detail. Lots of sunspots at the moment to capture. You have achieved top results considering a Solar altitude of only about 20 degrees.
