This is the FOV from my home made 0.58x Focal reducer I explain how to make it here: Hi Ken, Good to see someone else making use of what's available. Great video demo. Many, many years ago a friend of mine gave me a pair of 7x50 Zeiss night bino's ex navy wartime, superb optics, but had been dropped at the eyepiece end and was stuffed,. So, from one objective I made an electronic finder with an early type board video cam, and a focal reducer with the other objective. Having a workshop with lathes etc, it was easy to machine up a 2" fitting for the FR so it went into a recess with a threaded ring. Both items have worked a treat for many years, and I always accept any old optics from friends, just never know when they can be recycled.
Clear skies...Shevill
