Sky Safari was recently acquired by another Company (http://www.skysafariastronomy.com/). I downloaded the latest version for $$ of course, in an effort to find my pointing issue with my new hand control, and found that it it will no longer connect to my wireless. I tried to make a post on the Sky Safari users group on Yahoo groups.
Surprise my 2 posts I made, asking if anyone else had a problem, did not make it the Group to view. So I went to look at the "fine print" on the Users Group and ....
"This group is for users of the SkySafari iPhone astronomy apps, the SkyFi wireless telescope controller, and other products from Southern Stars."
"Please note: Orion StarSeek product owners should seek technical support from Orion Telescopes and Binoculars. These products are licensed to Orion, and Orion is responsible for supporting them, not Southern Stars."
Since my Wireless is from Orion (even though I ordered it from Southern Stars), it looks like I am stranded with a non compatible wireless now. Just a warning if you are going to upgrade your Sky Safari Pro to the Latest version.
Hmmmm....Looks to me after going to 0rion and Southern Stars web sites, they no longer $upport or $ell each other's products.
Any thoughts / Information would be welcome. Thanks Patrick
