I am not a car nut, however, I have always thought this a neat classic car, and many years ago I bought it and spent 3-years doing a complete engine rebuild, transmission overhaul, new brakes & added power steering (Mark 2 Jags with power steering were never imported into Australia) and a few more goodies to bring it up to modern safety standards, Has its original tool kit, service records and has not done many miles (97,000) (belonged to a lady driver). Good for 3 rebores and every part can be taken apart to service, there are no throw away parts on this car. Lovely car to drive and believe me, it's a chick magnet. picasaweb.google.com/109921669020426367250/Mark2Jaguar1966?authuser=0&feat=directlinkPS, it sounds magic, and my wife can tell when I am driving down the road in front of the house, and the road is a good distance away, the 6-cylinder throb is unique to Jaguar of this vintage. It has a 3.4 inlet manifold with twin SU's and has been kept well tuned since its rebuild. Safe & Happy Cruising, Shevill

A beautiful example of a 66 Jaguar Shevill. One of my favourite models.
I had James Hardie's Australian made long wheelbase 1970 Daimler Sovereign. When I purchased it from a car yard in poor condition it was brush painted in Blue enamel house paint! I spent the next 5 years attempting to restore it whilst driving it (not an easy task), but as the expense grew I realised I was not able to give this car the full restoration it deserved, so I decided to part with it to someone who would restore it properly.
Fortunately the new owner has taken it off the road and is taking it back to pristine original condition.

That's a beaut, for sure.
I'm still trying to figure out what my midlife crisis car is going to be. Heh.
