Hi All, I took these shots (video) during a full moon. The resulting images were very flat, to combat this I used AS!2 for stacking, Registax for wavelets and photoshop elements 8 for contrast Etc. I used auto exposure on my camera (Opticstar PX-75), but set the AE Grey down to 30. Looking at the results they are 90% better than the original, although I think Copernicus could have had a bit more contrast added. Anyway, let me know what you think. Getting there slowly, but still having a few problems with Mars. Cheers Pete.

Getting a contrasy image is difficult during a full moon, but you did ok. You have gone a bit over the top with the wavelets especially in the first pic which has produced the white artifacts around any details. Gently does it, less is more, etc etc.
Keep it natural.

Thanks for the advice Allan (uk), I thought it was a bit unnatural, but I didn't realise it was my overuse with the wavelets. Looking at the long distant weather forecast, I don't think I'll be getting much practice in for at least 10 days. Great Hobby, wrong Country LOL. Thanks again, really appreciated. Pete.

Hi Pete loads of detail in there! Have to agree with Allan, slightly over cooked Good thing is as long as you have the video you can run it through again and again. You can go crazy with the wavelets after a while its addictive. Mars is a tricky beast due to its size unless the seeing is very good you may not get a lot out of it. Just a case of getting that magic night.

Hi Carl, Running over a couple of videos on Youtube again, I realise I've been wrongly using the Wavelets. For some reason, I thought you had to adjust all of them, don't know where I got that one from. Not much chance of seeing the Sun these days, so Mars is definitely a no-go. Anyway, gives me plenty of time to practice. Cheers All Pete.
