It was sunny yesterday and the kids were out in the garden mucking around so I thought rather than them putting a football through a neighbours window I'd give them some solar views... so out came the little PD Cam, I put it on my little imaging Borg (with a white light filter) , aimed at the sun and enjoyed the views... Kids loved it, even if they weren't necessarily that fascinated by sunspots... I've attached a screenshot of the image - unfortunately the sun is just a little too big for my setup so I couldn't get the whole disc on the screen... James

Nice sharp image James. Got a question about the image, noticed that the sun is kind of egg shaped, I also get that does anyone know why it happens ?

James it seems to show up more on the sun than anything else, I wonder if its the spacing between ccd sensor and scope?

The egg shape is more than likely because you have used the wrong screen resolution in the capture window.
