Okay, just caught the ISS with my C11 at F10!! Have a look at a snap from the video. Once I work out how to slow the video down I may be able to get some more detail. It went past in a split second so naturally the image is blurred but I got that bad boy!

Did you capture as an AVI Karl? Hi Allan, Yes I did. I paused it as the spot it passed and took a snap. Do you know how to slow the video right down?

Never taken an AVI from a va cam before so not sure if this will work. If you can load the avi into AS!2, you can look at at all the individual frames one by one. There is a way to cut out just the frames you want,(I would have to look this up) so if you can cut out the half dozen or so frames with the ISS on, you could try stacking them for more detail.

Virtual dub does this really easily btw. Breaks down the avi file to individual frames.

It wasn't planned I was just doing an alignment and then remembered it was due to fly over from the West. I saw it on the scope cam then decided to try and follow it with the laser. Once I had the line of direction I just positioned the scope and let it fly past and bingo!

Good pull Karl for your first try...Better than my attempts...As everyone has already mentioned, open the AVI in virualdub and pull individual frames. You can also try taking the best frames and stacking them in registax. if your exposure was too high, all frames may be blurred. If so no big deal, you know where to start next time Awesome job even getting it in the FOV, that thing really moves at 1000mm!

Thanks Hemmi, I now have another target in the sky to chase I'll try the Virtualdub later should be interesting to see what shows up.

I may have to find out how to crop AVI's too now Karl. I made an error while capturing my solar activities today and instead of taking a 30sec AVI. I took a 30min AVI. It is 15.3GB and 21012 frames long.I put it into AS2 and it loaded it. (big shock)It is struggling to anylize it though. I'll try VD.
