Sorry, went all "Paul McCartney" for a sec! Quick blast at Jupiter and Mars last night. Sold my "Big Barlow" for cables and "video junk", so only have 2x Skywatcher one left. (Ideally for Watec 8.5 micron pixels you'd need 4x for 0.25" / pixel on the MAK 150). Anyway MAK150 with 2x Barlow = 3600mm @ f/24 - Watec 1000 frames @ 1/25 sec. Again (over!) Processed via Registax just to see what I could see at these settings: Would have been better to make a composite - The satellites require rather greater exposure! But Europa was entering transit - Perhaps that's it at the extreme left of lower dark band?? Again not too sure of orientation. I believe (stellarium) the polar cap is at about 10 o'clock? Seems "Space Cowboy" (SGL) was working at same time - Credits / Kudos for nicked image! Forgot all about DEW. Somewhere between Jupiter and Mars had major steam up. But a quick rub down with a kitchen towel, in the interim... The MAK, not me! P.S. I believe (found) that Sky & Telescope tabulaste position for the GRS on Jupiter. I think I was out of luck last night at about 22:00 UK time (it was on t'other side?)
