I have SW autofocusers on both my Lunt and ED120. Both operate with the SW focus handset with an extension cable to reach indoors. I bought a Hitec Astro focuser, but have never used it. Connected to the 10.1 fine focus drive on the crayford, I have found the focusing to be really accurate. the Hitec is supposed to be even more accurate, but i haven't tested it.

First off the season is not over, lots of good summer targets. M16 being my favorite. M51 will be nice and high out of the muck. That being said, summer brings out good views of saturn too. So I'm looking to add a nice planetary cam, so I can get some good images of saturn. Summer also brings heat, and heat brings hot pixels, so I would like at some point to upgrade to a cooled camera.

But some of my favorite targets are in the summer. Plus sitting outside late in 80 degree weather is not that bad. Its the bugs that are the problem.

SIMPLE(s) - Next month... some SPRINGS! (For What?, I hear you cry!) ... For the (It's not a real Astrograph, Guv) 8" / F4 *Light Bucket*. (Newt users will be familiar with weak primary spring syndrome?) As you know, there is lots of discussion re. the (de)merits of Fast Newts. But I'll persist with mine. A long-vexing problem (A "Quasimodo" Squint?) Now traced to primary centre spot being off-centre? Onwards & Upwards... P.S. Could waste money on Eyepieces (No "posh" ones at the Mo'!), but...
