Hmmmm, Green huh? I don't own any of the green filters they mention but I do have a Green Moon Filter. You know, those really dark green filters for looking at the Moon Hey, worth a try I reckon Thanks for the link Bob. I didn't see it in the Mally Yahoo group.

Ken, I don't think a Lunar filter is what he's on about. I'll see what I can find on those in the article.
(EDIT) A visit to Mr. Google bought up a "ton" of info, reviews and the like. Not too pricey for the results, IMO. They are now on my list of "I wanna's"...
Thanks and clear skies!
Bob

Yes, I know that Bob. That was my attempt at tongue in cheek humour

I did a bit of white solar the other day but it came out light blue, don't think my white balance is set correct. I've got a green No.58 and will give that a try next time and see what difference it will make.

Let us know how that goes, John. From the images at the bottom of this paper, I'm keen to try the Baader Continuum filter and Baader or Astronomic IR/UV blocker.
Is there much difference between filter use/results with vidcams, dslr's and CCD cameras?
I hear Jim Thompson has done some fine comparos with filters over on the Yahoo MC group. I believe they are in the files section.
Clear skies...Bob
