Feel free to continue the findings on these cameras here. Okay, I've taken some photos to show the two cameras and adapters.
The easiest one was the Sony camcorder as it has a 30mm thread for adding lenses. I got the adapter from Astro Engineering. The bridge camera was a little tougher as the lens on the camera extends as you switch it on and then again when you use the 20X Zoom. Because of this I had to make sure I got a long enough tube to prevent the lens hitting the eyepiece. Again the camera has a thread specifically for the zoom lens they sell as an extra for the camera. I then add part of the AE adapter and hey presto.
Now I have been messing about with the set up tonight and it looks like I should have no problems broadcasting with both cameras. The only negative so far is not being able to play with the zoom so the search continues for some kind of remote to do this. Failing that I may have to look for something else and sell one of these!

Ok my evil electrical engineer demon set me on a path. Here is the core of my new adventure. www.ebay.com/itm/261379138573?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649This will be full computer controlled: Focus, zoom, full OSD, etc Will have s-video output, so it can be broadcast just like any other video cam. I will prob cnc my own casing. It will attach similar to the handycams, but will I will have full PC control and broadcast capability. Ok enough with the pipe dream, we will see if it works at all LOL. I will start a new thread when I start building it.

Only problem I can see is if you connect to anything with Comp video its then not HD as that cant handle HD. To keep the HD you have to record direct with the camera then upload it so you cant have it live quality. The means to my madness is for broadcasting HD on TV you need a HD camera going to a HD transmitter then to a HD tuner then to a HD screen. If you know what I mean? What Im getting at is HD cant be carried by Coax or S Video or Scart. Would the origional be a lot better than the broadcast? But the good news is you can carry an HD signal via Cat5/6

I was all set up tonight to have a go but the clouds just would not give me a break!!!

For home views on a tv then HD would be great, but at the broadcasting end we are governed by the computer and the NSN resolution so Svideo is probably all you need.

Found cable for GF2 camera and it works in amcap and Gstar software, but there is 2 problems, it only displays in B/W which is ok for lunar. Second the camera has a touch screen LCD and it shows all the camera settings in the software preview window and I cant turn it off. Pity because the images are a lot sharper than the sammy
Camcorder gonna have to order some cables,
