My son and I go prospecting for Gold about 2 kilometres from home every week, sometimes several times per week, and we have a favourite spot where we tend to go at least once every week. This favourite spot is like most of the area around this part of our state, it's full of old mine shafts left over from the 1850's gold rush. Sadly police found the body of a missing murdered local woman down the bottom of one of the mine shafts right next to where we prospect She has been down there for about 8 months, but we never smelled anything, and if we did we would have considered it just another dead Kangaroo. But anyway, have a read: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9097537/Police-recover-body-mother-four-just-weeks-disappearance-became.html

Bad news that,, at least her mum has closure now,, looked a nice looking lassie as well,, rip Yep, I'm glad that her body was finally found to give her family closure. But I'm also glad it wasn't my son or I that found her. We looked down that mine shaft only a few weeks ago. My son even commented on the large plastic dog food bags visible way down at the bottom. And to think that she was laying under them when we looked into the shaft! Yikes!

Yeah life has some weird twists at time's, About ten years ago I was staying at carols and could hear this young couple have a falling out,, lots of shouting ect, I was in bed watching TV and it was about 12pm and your muttering, wish they would just up the f in road, It went quiet then the lassie started screaming her head off,, Carol and her daughter went out to see what was happening,, I got dressed and ran out,, the fella put his belt around his neck,, and was hanging himself,, the bit he was in was dense woodland that was between the main Rd and the road in to the estate carols in,, I jumped into the trees smashing my way down to where the lassie was screaming,, it's on a slope and pitch dark,, she had managed to snap the branch,, the boy was face down in the mud, I turned him over,, I cleared his airways,, was foaming at the mouth and eyes rolled back,, Carol had done a 999 call and police an paramedics were on the way,, just made shure he was breathing till help came,, it took me, and a policeman, paramedic to get him up the slope out the trees,, Paramedics worked on him and blue lighted him to hospital,, had to go in to the trees with police to show them the tree and recover his belt,, gave statement and went back to the house.. This was the Saturday night,, could see forensics taking photos in the trees with flashes going off,, we're going to do some shopping on the Monday night and got stopped by next door neighbour,, they were talking to a man and woman,, they were up to see what happened to the boy,, I asked how he was,, guy said to me,, you trying to be funny,, blank face from me,, he said he died in the trees,, Me and Carol both assured him he was breathing when we pulled him out the trees,, police had lied to the family,, man did I feel like shit,, I was all cut up with the branches, face, hands, even took one to the gut,, but I thought it was OK because I helped save a life,, I was gutted for days,, me and Carol went to his cremation,, things like that night are burned into memory,, I can see why so many vets come home traumatised by war,,
