M8 was less than 10 degrees from the moon last night . I put the optolong l enhance filter on the esprit 80 and the zwo 178 camera. 27sec x 7 stack. cheers Paul

You lose the blue with this filter. Here is the trifid with same exposure and is nearby....but it is still better than without the filter. I was having a pretty good night until I slewed to the Tarantula. The camera crashed against the tripod pole and ended my night abruptly. I thought at first it was synscan going crazy again but then noticed the alt/az coordinates were around 180/16 degrees I changed the synscan settings so that it wont go that low, particularly at the meridian. cheers Paul

I had the lx90 8", night owl focal reducer, zwo 183,and optolong l enhance filter tonight. Once again ,the moon was bright and close to M8. My M8 image was very ordinary. No matter how hard I try with sct's, I just cant get any decent images. cheers Paul

Had another go at M8 and M20 last night on the Esprit 80. This time I used the zwo 183 with no filter. There was no moon, only the glow of the city lights.Used the Apex .65 reducer on the Esprit 80 which puts the fl at 260 and an f3.3. M8 m20 cheers Paul

Really nice results Paul. Great how the vignetting is under control with such a big sensor.
