Been struggling to actually get threads into my 3d cad designs,, I use design spark mechanical cad software free from rs components,, Great bit of software but dopey here just couldn't get over the last hurdle and get a thread. Finally cracked the internal thread,, the esprit handbook gave me photos of adapters and dimensions with thread pitch,, so going to give it a try and see how I get on,,, The 3d printer is a really handy bit of kit for astronomy I've found,, last week I needed 70mm by 2mm shim,, was about £15 to buy and get posted,, couple of minutes designing and 6min to print,, job's a good un,, jet me get on instead of waiting 3 days for postman,,, Quick knock up of what can be done

Once I get sorted out with this,, I can get back to my night vision scope,, make my own helical focuser for it

3d printers are amazing. I'm still in awe of them (yeah, I know, I'm easily amazed by what others say are simple)
