I've sat and had a think on things and what advice I would give someone in my position,, what is more useful across a more broad range of hobbies ect,, ease of use, and money saver, And I've came to the conclusion I need to make sacrifices,, although the latte panda alpha is a good way to go portable wise,, it's to expensive to just use for astronomy.. I have a Panasonic tough book with xp on it, a Toshiba Windows 7 laptop, and a acer Windows 10. The Toshiba is my favourite but its getting old now and will come a time when it goes down the pecking order,, it runs my astronomy kit just now,, so my thoughts are to get a new laptop,, The Toshiba is running 8gb ram, So I'm looking to get something faster, more ram and ssd drive,, This would be my next generation laptop to use in the house,, for astronomy.
The acer I will use with my pipe band Software,, cnc will use the tough book,
The Toshiba will sit on a stand at portable kit and I can remote view ect from my windows tablet,,
Think this is more economical and sensible route than throwing money at portable kit
