Good conditions last night, so no excuses. The 2 galaxies were both overexposed . The 432 is proving tricky to adjust exposure manually. Very easy to overexpose. Sharpcap has a function to get the gain/exposure just right but i havent taken the time to learn that yet. imx 432, night owl, lx90 8" plus or minus the astronomik 642 IR pass filter Ngc 1232 20s x 15 stack ,filter, autostretched on astrotoaster. Could barely see this galaxy without the filter.Dont have an image without filter. It is 60mly, and has a satellite galaxy 1232A which I think is that little dot on bottom left.
ngc 1232 20s x15 ,filter no post process
Ngc 1300 12s x 6 stack, no filter, no post process, overexposed. I should have done a filtered image of this. Think it would have helped.I am finding it much easier to adjust gain and exposure with the filter than without on the imx 432.
and ngc 1365 again without filter 15s x 12 and with filter 20s x16
I get the impression the filter helps me most for the objects that I can barely see like ngc 1232. The other night when conditions were a bit cloudy, the filter helped me with ngc 1365. Last night with good conditions ,I didnt really need it cheers Paul

Fantastic results Paul. And no blobby stars from the excess of IR.
