I saw that also, but It sets to early for my area. Will be in a month or so before I could get an angle on it. But will be over by then.

Heres a dodgy one a grabbed in between the clouds v's a video i put through registax a month or so ago. Man I fell asleep early doors and missed the lot!!! My missus told me this morning how clear it was when she got back last night and wondered why I was sleeping The night before I'm set up ready to go with bags of energy and it's cloudy and then raining!!! If there is another hobby that can test your patience more than this one I'd be flabbergasted!
Sounds like you had a great night Chris shame I missed it!

Hahahaha agreed Karl! I feel your pain. Monday night was only meant to be clear for a couple of hours. But i had to go to football then came back and was too tired to set everything up only for the clouds to roll in soon. So didn't setup.... It stayed clear all night lol. Big regret not setting up. Regarding last night... you didnt miss much mate. Some intermittent views of M82 plus loads and loads of clouds

I can't see M82 from down here so I'll have to rely on your photos Chris

Will have to have a go at this I might have a window Saturday night/ Sunday if weather forecast is right. It is said to be still brightening over the next few weeks. I had a look at it last year and did take a photo off the monitor, it looked ok on the screen but the photo was poor. M81/M82
