Sweet ... the folder monitor feature which enables DSLR's to be used is in that release. And denoise too. Robins done a great job by the looks of the new feature set.

I didn't think of that. Nice.
Last night was going to have my first go at live viewing in ages.
Got out the mono asi290 and Halpha filter. Check. Refractor. Check. Downloaded sharpcap 3.2. check. Got out my EQ5 modded with steppers and diy goto. Should have thought better - it wouldn't work!!
Grrrrrr. Looks like I'll spend the next few nights fixing that. Worst thing. There was actually a few hours of near cloud free night by that point. First in a few weeks. Double Grrrrrr.

Used sharpcap 3.2 last night. Conditions were not clear with a fair bit of cloud around. Attached is NGC 253 . Stack of 30s x 6 on the C6 with the zwo 178. Sharpcap 3.2 saves the stack automatically after a nominated time. The image is saved as a FITS file. I used FITS liberator to deal with the file. . Lost all the colour . This format is difficult for me to deal with. Why does sharpcap use this format as the default? I guess there must be some good reason cheers Paul

That'll make it even easier!! You can do a bit of stretching and stuff with it also. I know that's not video astro. But it let's you know how much further you can push it while live viewing. Mind you, the stretching is now so good is sharpcap you probably don't need it.
And- nice job on ngc253!!

Here is the same ngc253 opened in Fitswork and saved as jpeg. Much easier program to deal with the Sharpcap fits files for posting.... particularly in English. We had a few clear nights last week but I missed them . I like the zwo 178 camera, but in my hands it has to be on a very fast scope like the hyperstar.
