ÀAAAAAAAAARGH,, NIGHTMARE... All that could go wrong,,went wrong, Brilliant dark skies and clear, best dark sky I've seen since I started astronomy. Set up the az gti, no problems Ed80 went on with canon 600d, tethered to Panasonic tough book,, Could not connect to camera,, could not find driver I believe. Ditched the Panasonic and got my Toshiba out, tried to connect ,, nope not happening Ditched the canon Stuck on the zwo asi 178 ,, could not get a single star, could not get exposure or focus for some reason,, probably lack of testing, but I'm getting annoyed by this time,, panic is setting in as we hadn't a lot of time before they shut the place down and put barrier across access road.
Binned the ed80, and stuck on canon 600d and lens, attached camfi unit, tried to get alignment,, you guessed it more problems, this is after I forgot to mention that the new batteries in the mount were flat 😂,, but luckily I bought a cigarette lighter extension cable and mount cable. Got the camfi linked to Acer tablet and took some astrophotography shots,, apologies 😂.
But the angry man was going to appear and start lobbing my kit all over the car park and smashing my tripod legs off of laptops and other pieces of astronomy equipment that was letting me down.
Now you may think this was the end of the woes and a tragic hard luck story and you would be wrong.
The camfi started trying to steal the mount WiFi signal, I deleted the app on the head unit and it still wouldn't work correctly,, don't even get me started on what was going on but,, We did manage to fire off some shots,, Not a clue what they were or how they turned out.
That will be another story for tomorrow,, and it was bloody freezing,, the polar bears were wearing thermals and woolly hat and scarf.
I wanna go home n cry 😂..bugger,, it's over an hour's drive away.

Bummer! It seems to work out that way for me as well. The more eyes that are watching, the more troubles show up.
