As time goes by,, Astronomy equipment changes, hardware and software. So I have updated my kit again and added to the more portable kit now.
Skywatcher has added a few new az mounts and one that took my fancy was the az gti, I ended up with two mounts to compare The az gti and Skywatcher adventurer mini both these mounts are tracking so ideal for us. The Sam ( Skywatcher adventurer mini) is a small unit that you have to add to a decent photography tipod and is only suited for mounting a camera on,, plus point it's an eq mount. The az gti can hold a small scope and a DSLR, or just a camera.
I opted for the az gti as I thought I was getting more for the buck with the az gti.
Main use with the mount is for dslr video astronomy, grab n go But it could be added to,, ed80, DSLR running astrotoaster via a laptop.
I found I could make my DSLR WiFi controlled via a device called CAMFI,
Still in testing stage The CAMFI has issues focusing on the moon,, DSLR view finder image in focus but image transmitted to a 7" Acer iconia tablet was well out of focus,, .
New zwo asi178 MC ordered to enhance my kit with a bigger and more sensitive camera,, been a fan of the starvis sensor since I first saw it used on CCTV cameras,, I now get a chance to see how good it is soon😀
