Nu1 and2 Sagittarii a nice double star Nu1 Sagittarii is a 4th magnitude Double Star appearing in the constellation Sagittarius. It is 1125 light years from our solar system. It is a orange-red supergiant of spectral type K2I. Its surface temperature is 4310 Kelvins - 25% cooler than the Sun's - and it is 78.5 times the Sun's diameter in size. Nu2 Sagittarii is a 5th magnitude Star appearing in the constellation Sagittarius. It is 274 light years from our solar system. It is a orange-red giant of spectral type K3-II-III:Ba1CN1. Its surface temperature is 4390 Kelvins - 24% cooler than the Sun's - and it is 17.1 times the Sun's diameter in size. And a very small and hidden globular NGC 6717 is a 9th magnitude Globular Cluster appearing in the constellation Sagittarius. It is 23 thousand light years from our solar system.
