I bought this telescope to photograph open clusters and stars especially. It is cheap and I thought that it could give good result seen the comments of this Forum. My intention is not to take perfect photos but rather the Videoastronomy. This has been the result: Whit reducer 0,5 and any filter Without reducer and any filter Exposition are similar, 10x5" stacked with Mallincam soft. No postprocessing.

Gimp made a big difference.
There are benefits with both versions (with and without 0.5x FR). Personally I prefer a wide FOV but you can see that the image 'without' the FR you can see the open cluster better.
So both ways works well. It depends on what you are looking at.
The Bresser AR-102XS/460 is not available in Australia.

I agree with you that a wide FOV is better but I do not like halos appearing on bright white stars.
I think the FR adds new aberrations to the original object. Maybe because is a cheap one??
I never have used filters and I don't know if it is normal.
