Thanks Chris, but unfortunately that is expensive nowdays. That would have been a good price 2 years ago, but there are better cameras available now for $100, and the price of Sammy's has dropped a lot. The SDC-435 also called the SCB-2000 can now be bought new for only $65. Here's one as an example: www.amazon.com/dp/B004HIIP1C/ref=psdc_7459508011_t1_B004ZPCS7O

All good Chris. I'd hate to see someone pay nearly twice of what an item is worth elsewhere. New. The Sammy's were great in their time, but they have been left behind by much smaller lighter and better featured cameras now. If they can be found for around $50 - $70 (new) they are probably worth it, but the Sammy 2000 has the old version ICX638 sensor. That is several sensors back from cameras we can get now for $100. As an example, the early LN-300's have a better sensor with the ICX673, and now even they are old compared to the new ICX811 in the last of the LN-300 variants and the Revolution Imager R1-b & R2. The DSP's are very different too. Sammy has the A1 DSP, and since then we have gone through the RJ10 DSP, the RJ11 DSP, and now the EFFIO-A DSP. Another advancement in time is that the Revolution Imager also has a UTC chip installed which allows for remote control. The poor old Sammy has been left behind in the dust
