All, I was in need of a custom length control cable for my Jr. Pro. I successfully made a working cable using the below. I tried taking photos but they just were not good enough to show anything useful, so I just made this drawing to help anyone looking to make their own cable.

Thanks for the info. I'm no electronics whiz, but that diagram looks like you only use 3 wires to connect the din to the DB9. Or is there more to this.

I have the Plugable adapter from the second link. And can confirm it works great on OSX, XP and windows 8.

Cool, even I should be able to solder 3 wires. I'll be making one of these pretty quick.

Ok, so I bought the plugs and lead, but on close inspection of the Din plug, it appears that the diagram up top is wrong. The view of the pins is from the rear. If anyone has a 8 pin Din plug, can they confirm.

That view is from the back not the front. this is the view from front Wire it up to the back of plug as seen in the original diagram.

First attempt to solder tiny wires and pins....absolute failure. MallinCam Control Xtreme Help.pdf (1013.68 KB)
Hi Allan,
Not sure if this is of any use but there is a wiring diagram at the end of the attached doc. I used this to connect my internal sockets to the external.
