Image of my grandfather on my dads side, just over 100 yrs old and in poor shape but the idea was for a grave plaque similar to what I done for my dad..first attempt,,project of mine to help families put down some kind of grave marker, headstones cost around £1200 here for a half decent one.. if I make a fiver profit im happy I could help somebody remember a loved one. Dad's before it was coated in lacquer, brought it up like black slate.

Tried doing family tree, and got a bit stuck not too far back in time,,found nobody spoke much on how and where we came from on my dads side,,seems my grandad was taken in by a couple,,through adoption..was all hushed up and was never spoke about again...I have been building a website about the town I was born in ,,old photos, tradition of the town ect,,I have built an add on ,,families of kilsth that will complement it,,but my co auther has taken some family time off to look after her ill dad,,its allways going to be a work in progress,,245 web pages ive created so far...yip busy guy

Wow, that's a lot of work - but great though. I don't like to think about how much history and knowledge has been lost - just in our parents' and grandparents' generations. If you don't record the stories somehow, its just lost forever.

That looks pretty good Davy.
Is the photo easier to see in person? It looks a bit faint on my computer.

This is the photo it came from ,original size 2"x1" so the head and shoulders shot was blown up an cropped but I lost a lot of detail,,but on a 100+ photo was always fighting a losing battle,,but im happy with it,,only photo we have of him so have to make do with the end results
