For those of you who know me or have wandered through my website, it is probably self evident that I take great enjoyment in doing testing...testing of a methodical nature. I have just recently finished writing up the report for my most recent testing: various focal reducers on a camera with medium sized sensor. This testing was lit off by the recent discussions about what the best focal reducer is to use with cameras like the Infinity or Ultrastar which have sensors in the 11mm range. My testing was done using a camera with a 13.4mm sensor, so I think that my results should be of interest to a number of users here on CN. The summary report is posted on my website (link below). Please let me know if you have any questions. karmalimbo.com/aro/reports/Medium%20Size%20Focal%20Reducer%20Test%20Report_19May2016.pdfcheers, Jim T.

Hi Jim, yes congrats on another fantastic test. As I said when you joined here, I have enjoyed your posts always. Very informative and beneficial to me as I sometimes use a Nikon J2 13mm sensored (10Mp) camera with EyeFi card to send the shots to the pc. So thanks !! I have a better idea of what things to try with getting it to come to focus with 0.5 reducer and in testing it / mucking about with the MFR5 bits and bobs to see what FOV I can achieve with it using its 1-1/4" adapter. Or at least trying it out and have some fun doing so!
cheers
