Thanks Ken took that using a 3x barlow going to see how it goes using a 5x barlow next time

If you have access to one, a 5x Powermate does wonders on Planets

Thanks Ken and davy I was surprised at how they turned out considering that I used the 8". Hoping to get a couple of shots using the 14" Dob tonight If I can I think the detail will be a little bit better than the 8"

The 14" Dob has Tracking and I will be using the same camera. I agree with you it is going to be interesting to see what results I get.

I concur, these are some of the best Mars images I've seen!
You may be disappointed in the 14" dob.
For image scale, when you're using 3x barlow with 8" SCT = 3 x 2032mm or 6096mm The 14" dob (at f/4) would give you 1422mm x 3 with the barlow (if it will come to focus) or 4266mm
That means that Mars will be about 2/3 of the size of this shot thru the SCT.

Thanks Ken if I didn't have that corrector plate fogging up problem they would have been much better than that.
