I have had it over a year now and I think I have never really posted any images of it. So here it is. My ES CF 152mm OTA . The finder is a 60mm and the 80mm I use for solar and I can use as a guide scope if I need to.

There was a bloke here in Oz who started advertising 'Custom Painted Telescope Tubes'. You could send your own or he would supply one and custom paint sceneries, flames, anything. Whatever you want, just like custom painting a car. But he didn't last long. I don't even think he got ANY work, because his services became a topic in the Aussie Astro forums and they all put him down and said how stupid it is, saying "who is going to see it in the dark". The poor bloke was rubbished before he even got off the ground! Don't people realise that their scope usually sits inside where people can see it, and would probably look good painted up. But after the rubbishing he got in the Forums, anyone who might have wanted to get a paint job from him was now too scared to do it in fear of being told they are idiots by the masses in Forums!

nothing wrong with it looking nice and shiny looks good all in black. Jim did you vinyl wrap the 60mm or does it come like that. I've thought about covering my tubes in red carbon fibre

I am fortunate to live in the same town as the Explore Scientific HQ and they have a little shop. I go in from time to time to drool on the carbon fiber 152 triplet.
