Hi All,
Just for fun I am posting this under ''Hardware". A few weeks ago I shed a damaged track (8 years old) on the Komatsu excavator, and had to buy a new pair-(ouch!!!). In replacing the tracks I also found a totally mangled lower roller bearing assembly, which had to be replaced. This sort of failure is both expensive and time consuming to fix. Fortunately I had my best mate on leave from Queensland for a wedding, so he hopped in to help with his skills and muscle. This is an important piece of machinery in my astronomy arsenal-
I need it to be able to level and dig on our rocky hillside property. Land clearing of scrub/trees etc near the house is always an ongoing pre bush-fire season requirement. 70 odd bush fires are burning out of control in the alpine national parks, unheard of, never happened in history, these areas do not regenerate, fire destroys them completely.Best Wishes to ALL, Shevill
Admin, feel free to re-post this in an appropriate page.

Yes Shevill, I saw that on the News. Very sad. Love Tassie and its many walking trails. And always cooler than Brissie! Although your temps seem almost as high as ours this Summer. Howie

Hate to hear that these areas are destroyed Hopefully there can be some effort to re-seed some day.
