Got this camera months back and don't really know what to make of it,my intention was to mount on my new orion mini guider scope while I took DSLR images, weather was really bad and astronomy depression kicked in,set kit back up yesterday and tried again, with the telescope tube attachment you get with the why it was near hanging out finder scope, fitted the parafocal ring anrun it through sharpcap,,image wise in my opinion is its crap, sharpcap was the best to use compared to boxed software with the camera, need to test on ed80 but I have seen better webcam results, anyone else using this,I know there are many variants of this camera,is it a rip off of a guide camera

Bit of black magic with the nodded scb2000 (40mm internal 40mm fan blowing hot air from chip,40mm fan on top sucking hot air out and 1mm fans on sides)all fans are high cfm rated and dropped zero frames when cooling active in sharpcap

What would this camera be for if you already have one for guiding and one for the actual image? Or is this a second guider that will track a second star? You may need two computers if that's the case.

Guiding..we dont do guiding lol...this is all camera magic..ed80 and canon 600d on video or a/p..orion guide finder and qhy as a widefield video cam was idea ,now im looking at a y finder bracket that will allow two orion finder guider,,if the qhy is truly pants during the day its not going to be good at night.if this is the case its sammy on one and pd1 on the other.two laptops,,,shame on you rick, bottom of class and your on naughty step for a week for no reading all the gaffers posts... Analogue cameras can be fed to a cctv dvr four feeds can be seen on screen at one time and record all channels at once to internal dvr 1.5tv hard drive.. now even better take a tap off dvr to monitor feed and put this to a usb grabber and you know can also use this to broadcast..lovely.. old tech now for me done it a year ago lol

Got it, I misunderstood that you were guiding - should have known, haha! So yeah, multi-segment all-sky solution like you've worked on in the past... I'm glad you resurrected the project! Apologies to the Gaffer!!

Dave, Do you have both the 600d and the qhy on the same PC? Even if going to two diff ports I have had my old pc spitting the dummy and only accepting one or the other for video due to them mucking abart with the internal Operating System thingamujigs. Howie

Are you looking for your image thru the view finder or is there a cable that goes from camera to monitor? Sorry I'm not familiar with the 600D.
