Finally got a frame grabber, so here's my first showing. Started in Orion, might as well make it easy, through my 8" SCT with a 0.5 FR - found no gain and increasing lens best. I think the edges have stretched because I put in an extra spacer between the camera and FR to try and increase the FR. It gradually deteriorated after that. I wasn't sure why ... Until I went outside and saw my SCT lens covered in dew. Think I'll have to build a dew heater - I can feel an arduino project coming on. Merry Christmas to all, thanks for all your advice. Chris

Well done Chris Yep, it's the spacing of the focal reducer that caused that. I did the same. It needs to be a bit closer to the sensor
