Been a poor season so far for me , weather has not been kind and good old murphys law kicked in on the nights I have been at band practice..nice clear nights at times..so need more portability..been weighing up my option's. Looking for versatility and value. my first option was the skywatcher vituossa with the 90mm mak.. £165 2nd..was skywatcher az goto £210 3rd option I looked at was the skywatcher allview £350..this to me would give me more options. .portable and a big step up from virtuossa with similar features..dual encoders , push to position, and can be computer controlled. Should be going for it in a months time...bit of modding to l bracket and it can be made into a multi camera goto array hopefully caring my ed80 as well.

I like having two distinct focal length scopes... my 80EDT APO for wide fields and my 8" VRC with a longer focal length for planets and smaller objects. I dont really have a "grab and go", but my AVX mount is not that heavy. I guess I feel like for video its not a big step to setup the whole enchilada versus a minimal setup.
I feel your weather pain.
Nice beautiful skies while at work... Drive home, look and see clouds on the South/West horizon slowly creeping nearer... Weigh doing solar for a little while... End up just punting.
