Not astronomy. .weather all over the place..snow. .hail..rain..freezing conditions..cloudy as well.. so ive been asked by the pipe band to play at a masonic burns supper night at 8.30pm in no2 uniform then quick change into no1 uniform and drive to Edinburgh to play with the royal burgh of renfrew pipe band at Edinburgh castle..beating the retreat at 11pm..

First gig went well changed uniform and drove to Edinburgh but the organisers changed time from 11pm to 10.40 I got there at 10.50 and they just finished..ragin was an understatement. . Ment to get £50 + travelling expenses got £30 +£20 travelling expenses wasn't chuffed wasn't my fault they changed the times..wont be playing for them again.

I was only one that never played..but as you said had it been done for the planned time I would have made it just over two hours there and back..what a waste of time..got held up with the first gig..ment to play at around 8.30 to 8.45 but never played till 9.15 never left there till 9.40..cant argue with them as they are buying the band a new bass drum..

in these wintry conditions you will need to trade in your pride & joy and get a 4 wheel drive landrover if you are going to those faraway places.it would also be good for climbing up to observatories on hills
