We always get more than enough snow to do us through the winter. My old walk behind snow blower was on it's last legs last year. With a close to 200 feet of driveway I broke down and bought a new riding mower with a snow blower attachment. Wouldn't you know, this year we've had the least amount of snow I can recall and that's a lot of recall. It's half past January and I've only had to use the thing once. I should have bought the thing ten years ago. Who knows, if the flutter of a butterfly's wings can cause a hurricane on the other side of the world, maybe my new snow blower has sent some of our snow all the way to Brigadoon.

It feels like winter here at the moment!!! This is supposed to be our Summer. We had a few hot days, about 4 of them, then 2 days over 40c degrees, then some low 20's, and now back to a ridiculous 16c and down to 6c at night. Where's my Summer?

The comet will have gone by the time we get decent weather!
Clear skies, Shevill

Yep, last year certainly was a scorcher. Record levels all over this country. It seemed that Summer heatwaves weren't going to end. But on the flip side, I couldn't stand the weather Davy and the rest of the Nthn Hemisphere are experiencing. Brrrrr Yes Shevill, I have been noticing Tasmania's weather reports! Bit chilly for January

Actually lit the big wood heater yesterday-mid January! this summer so far has been cloudy, cool & wet, but thankfully, no bushfires as a result. Guess we cannot have everything. A few more clear nights would be nice.
Clear skies... Shevill

While you folk in the Nthn hemisphere are snowed in and freezing, we have officially just finished Summer 5 days ago and switched over to Autumn and it's already cold! I am sitting here rugged up in extra clothes, shivering! And down Shevill's way is like winter already!! Snow predicted on the hills around his way! Crazy weather!

I wonder if there is climate shifting going on... it seems like our early winter is milder and milder and our early spring is colder and colder.
