I have a new website totally devoted to the work I have done, and still doing, with my Mallincam Xtreme Video Astronomy camera. I will add to it as I get more data to include. I hope it will be of help to someone wanting to know about the Mallincam Xtreme, or Video Astronomy in general, and want to see how other people do it. It's here: ballaratman.wix.com/mallincam

Thanks davy. I also thought of doing one for my Sammy but I don't have a lot of saved Screen grabs from it, and I hardly use it any more. Plus, I think I already have enough websites to maintain as it is

Thanks Phil The big Newt is a 12" f/5. It's even autographed by John Dobson The smaller Newt/Dob in front of it is an 8" f/6. And that's a Meade SN10 sitting in the Dob base from the 12" Newt. Yep, I use the original hand Controller. Never let me down in the 11 years I've had it. I did try EQmod computer mount control but I didn't like it, and found that it was never accurate in its GoTo's. It was set up for me by one of EQmod's Beta testers, so he knew what he was doing. Not the first time I've heard of someone getting bad Goto's with EQmod.

. . . when and what type of filters to use That's good news John. If you choose to use a Yellow filter but #12 is a bit too strong for your liking, try #8 yellow. The Yellow tinge isn't as strong so objects look more their normal colour. But it also doesn't cut as much of those horrible violet halos.

I'm visitor 290! Nice set of pages, Ken!
Am I getting senile, or did you do a focal reduction study with the MFR5?

Thanks Rick. No, I didn't do any study or test or anything with the MFR-5. I used it in a few of the grabs shown, but I don't remember which ones.

I probably have it confused with something you did with a homemade FR. Or I'm off the deep end.
