Thankfully I have a crystal clear night tonight, and should stay that way till 4am. I have 2 cameras capturing the Geminid meteor shower. One with a wide 2.6mm lens and the other with a 6mm lens. The count so far is 270 meteors detected with the 2.6mm cam and 265 meteors detected with the 6mm cam. I would have thought the difference would have been greater. The 6mm lens is facing NNW away from Gemini and the 2.6mm lens is facing SSW straight at Gemini. Meteors falling like rain. Luv it.
Will process the captures tomorrow and get a true count of how many meteors were actual Geminids, and post any pics of worthy captures.

Well the results are in. 2 Watec 910HX cameras running. Cam1 2.6mm f1.0 lens facing SSW..FOV 117deg....582 meteors captured....459 are Geminids Cam2 6mm f0.8 lens facing NNW....FOV 53deg.....618 meteors captured....440 are Geminids.
I have a slight overlap to the West so a small number of these may have been caught by both cams, but overall, a good result. Here are the meteor plots for both cams. The bright yellow bars are the meteors path.

NNW cam

Totally unbelieveable. Clear all day and now, the only place in our whole state with cloud, is right here

All the processing and analysis is done with software called 'UFO Capture' by Sonataco. not cheap, but very good.
