The credit has to be given to Hemmi for finding the FEBON188 unit. It allows one to utilize the full potential of the Signature at a reasonable cost. I paid $125 USD for the FEBON188 ($110 for the device and $15 for Express postage from Taiwan. Others have spent small fortunes to build computers with HD-SDI compatable video boards.
I also have to thank Hemmi for his solution to protecting the FEBON188. It is sold as a circuit board only. Hemmi utilized a clear pill bottle to isolate the FEBON from moisture in the air while allowing one to see the LED's. If both LEDs are flashing, then the FEBON has not detected the signal from the camera. If the inner LED is illuminated, then the device is detecting a 720p signal. If the outer LED is lit, then the FEBON is sensing a 1080p signal.
I just finished modifying a pill bottle to hold my unit.

Karl,
I look forward to trying the Signature and FEBON188 on the Moon now that I know that HD-SDI can be fully utilized.

Hello Jack,
I look forward to that and I know the Signature on the Moon will be absolutely amazing!! Please forewarn me here when you plan to do this as I would want to see that LIVE! I had a go with the cheapo HD SDI cam I have and the FEBON188 last night on Saturn - new.livestream.com/accounts/7916230/events/3006293/videos/52023341 Not bad but conditions were not quite right and to be honest I think Lunar and Solar and the main targets for HD SDI.
