I have been doing a few zoom sessions with my family recently and have added some live VA which the kids have been quite happy with. What I have noticed each time is the images over zoom are far better than the images I get on screen with teamviewer.
My setup is a laptop in the dome which is controlled by a desktop in a bungalow with the aid of teamviewer. When I zoom ,I get an image from both teamviewer and zoom.
Not sure why the teamviewer image is so inferior.
The moon was very bright tonight,so I didnt get any decent images but it was good to get out after a couple of weeks of foul weather cheers Paul

Sorry Paul but I don't follow your meaning. You 'Zoom' in Teamviewer? Zoom in with a camera to the laptop screen? or . . . I don't know. What are you zooming in to and with what?

Yeah, sorry about that. It was as clear as mud. I will try again with a few images. There are 2 zoom images going at once ,zoom 1 in the dome and zoom 2 in the warm room This image is the laptop in the dome.
but , I control zoom 1 and 2, and the live VA session from the warm room in the bungalow I control the dome laptop via teamviewer. Teamviewer is on the desktop. The desktop has 2 screens. The top screen is the zoom 2 on the desktop. The bottom screen is the teamviewer view of the laptop zoom 1 in the dome . Those 2 images on the lower screen are what is seen if you were sitting in the dome. Teamviewer controls the laptop for both sharpcap and zoom1 The top screen is zoom 2 as the kids would see it.The bottom screen is the teamviewer control of sharpcap. For the kids to see the sharpcap image on zoom in Melbourne ,I share the laptop screen on zoom 1 which is done with teamviewer. So I now have 2 images of sharpcap . The top screen is sharpcap via zoom 2 and the bottom is sharpcap via teamviewer. The sharpcap image on zoom 2 is much better than my image on teamviewer.
It is not a major drama, but the poor quality on teamviewer can be problematic when trying to fine tune sharpcap to get the best image. Hope that clears it up a bit better. It might sound like a hell of a lot of mucking around, but it is quite straight forward. cheers Paul

Yeah, I know ,it still sounds confusing. The main point is.. If the image on teamviewer was better quality, I would not need 2 zooms and the setup would be much simpler. cheers Paul

Ahhhh, thanks davy. So Zoom is just like Skype. I've never heard of it. I thought Paul had gone mad and was trying to 'zoom in' to his laptop screen with his camera No wonder I was confused by what he posted I imagined Paul's laptop using Teamviewer from another source (at least I know what Teamviewer is ) then with one of his other cameras mounted on a camera tripod aimed at his laptop showing a Live view of his laptop screen. I assumed the word 'Zoom' referred to being 'zoomed in' with a camera I'll go back to my cave now

You are right Ken. I have gone mad but that has more to do with our dictator. . Yeah ,I also should have used "Zoom" with a capital letter. Anyway..... The simplest way to liveview a VA session over Zoom to the kids would be to sit in the dome and freeze to death. The second best would be to Teamview the dome laptop in warm comfort and Zoom it to the kids ,but the image on Teamviewer is poor compared to what you see on the laptop . The only way to Zoom a decent image to the kids from a warm comfortable room is to have Zoom on the laptop and Zoom on the desktop and use Teamviewer to control the laptop. My brain hurts cheers Paul
