Hi all..I bought this as my second camera to add to my set up, was a bit of a lucky find browsing the internet I came across his website www.astrophoto.co.uk went on and was pleasantly surprised to find the pd1 camera as we named it on sgl, the camera looks like any other box cctv camera..sitting at the hundred pound mark..why should I bother to look any further "" I can get a Samsung scb2000 for cheaper on ebay"" here's why when you read on further ...the ir filter has been disabled. ..on the samsung you have to mod it yourself and even better the camera has double the integration/accumulation of the samsung scb2000..exposure from 0.00001 upto 20 seconds integration (internally stack from x2 to x1024) each ranging from 1/100, 000 to 1/50 sec duration.. the camera also has a dead pixel correction setting. ..sensor used in the camera is the sony icx639 bka super had........thats the techy bit done osd menu generated from camera to screen in my opinion is better and easier to follow than the Samsung. .even better phil puts in a sheet with recommend settings for using the camera...I bought the basic camera that comes with a mains to 12 volt adapter for approx £105 delivered and i paid by paypal and was with me within three days...brilliant service even had a back up email to confirm I had the settings sheet in box...found out from an other member you can get one with the rs485 port but need to contact phil on this... phil@astrophoto.co.uk ..
Overall review VERY nice camera and a step up from the samsung for not a lot more money. ..davy
