Clear skies tonight. They have been few and far between.Tried the 294 on the C6 to see how the hyperstar handled the big sensor. Thought it would just crop the image but couldnt get it to come to focus. So then I put the 224 on the C6 but sharpcap kept freezing. Dont know if it is the 224 or sharpcap. My tolerance level tonight is zip so packed it in and poured myself a red. Paul

It's clear here for a change too Paul (for the moment), but we have damaging winds tearing through and a storm warning So fed up with this.

Bad hair day today. Had a GA for a short procedure today and ,as luck would have it,tonight was the first clear sky for ages.Should have listened to my wife and just gone to bed. All the same, I will be upset if there is something wrong with the zwo 224.It is part of the travel kit (C6 and Bresser 102) next time I head over to Snake Valley for a visit. Paul

LOL ... Now I am no longer able to lug the kit out and I am giving up astro totally .... the weather up here in Brisbane is absolutely fan-b****y-tastic .... LOL. Absolutely zero clouds at low, medium nor high altitudes, visibility is at max, zero fog, zero probability of rain, 3km/hr or basically no wind at all, Balmy 23C at 6pm thru to 10C at midnight with dew point way down at less than 4C so basically no chance of dew, and rel humidity down in the 30 to 50% range. The Gods must really hate astronomers! I'm sure if I was still able to get out there it'd be like the weather you all are experiencing!

At the moment I am unable to physically lift the dome up in my skyshed pod, so I am restricted to my lightest setup which is the C6 on the alt/az. Hopefully in a few weeks I will be a bit stronger and the weather will improve and I will be a happier little vegemite. Hope the same goes for you Howie Paul
