Bad weather has well and truly arrived in Brigadoon,, snowed off work today,, no chance of getting car out of car park,,headed for the train,, boss phoned me just head home,, took him 45 mins to travel 3 miles in his 4x4.
Snowing for hours,, -6 but wind chill is bad,,cars stuck on main roads,,minor roads even worse

Yeah, not good Davy. We've been seeing the weather up there on our News here. They are calling it the Beast from the East. You can have it! At least you got the day off

Your Beast from the East ... our Major Rainfall Event (hmm, does the lack of a catchy name mean Aussies are just used to freaky weather now?). Past week of bad rainfall now means flooding for Central and Northern Queensland. My neck of the woods has only had several inches over the week (first break in the clouds came on night of full Moon - of course! LOL). But some of the States rainfall is just nuts ... 90 rain gauges getting 4 inches in 24 hours; a place getting 8" in 6 hours and 14" in 24 hours! watchers.news/2018/03/01/major-rainfall-event-affecting-queensland-record-floods-possible/
