Just been up at Hamilton Island for the week so not much astro going on. Its weird, winter and this place is still warm! Here's 2x live unstacked shots on my son's canon 600D. The first is a solar shot (ho ho). Got no idea what the settings were as my son set it up for me. The second is a single 30sec exposure iso1600 of the milky way. We just plonked the camera on the ground and pushed the button. Should have done a shorter shot as the star trails are quite noticeable ! Now I'm back home the night sky looks grey instead of black.
