So I thought I would get uncle John started with the topic Maybe I was a bit harsh on the post description,, maybe I should have made it .. what size of scope will this drive. So brief outline of the conversation me and uncle John had. John..Any flywheel ring gears at work Me... Eh ?? John..And a starter motor drive Me.. eh ?? John..I'm going to make a telescope drive and get minimal backlash in the gears Me.. you've flipped John..Laughing Me.. you canny be serious John..Laughing Me.. synta spent nearly £10 development costs to make them lol John..I'm going to make it Me... Oh hell I've just realised the bloody size of the set up and the scare the pants off you telescope it could drive. So not to be out done,, I think he should scrap his idea and go with mine.. anyway who wants to listen to a two foot spur gear screaming it's nuts off at half twelve at night. I was thinking He would be better going with a car timing belt ,, camshaft and crankshaft gears on a heavy duty stepper motor or a direct drive.. Who's the most in need of mental health treatment.. answers on private messages only lol.
