I've had a few moderate results with my scb3000, but it's a tough game as I'm using an f13 Mak. As a result I'm always on the hunt for wider angles, and have managed to get my focal reduction to x0.45, putting me just a smidge under f6. But still the craving for wide scenes doesn't go!
So, Ive been wondering about putting a c mount lens on the camera instead and piggybacking the samy onto the telescope- effectively turning it into an enormous guidescope.
However, I did eventually get round to removing the IR filter from the samy and replacing it with a 1.25" Astro IR filter instead. If I now want to use a c mount lens I won't be able to use that 1.25" IR filter..... I could refit the original Samsung filter but on an scb3000 it's a mission (from Dragon Man's videos it looks very similar to scb4000), and if I do want to do sessions again through the Mak it'll be impractical very quickly.
So...any thoughts?
I'm also umming and ahhing about the GPCAM V2, which has much higher resolution and would reduce the level of fiddliness setting up frame grabbers in the dark and 12v power etc.. anyone got any experience of these?
Many thanks, and clear skies

Greg, yes, piggy-back it with a camera lens. As for IR blocking, it will depend on the lens you use. Some camera lenses are really good with IR. Others aren't. It's probably not best to re-fit the factory IR filter because its cut-off point is in the wrong place in the spectrum for Astro, and it also cuts off all OIII which is needed. The original Sammy filter makes Galaxies and OIII Nebulae almost impossible to see.
Test different camera lenses and see which one gives the sharpest stars. That will be the one with the best IR blocking.

Great, that's better news than I'd expected, and many thanks for your quick reply! I thought I'd end up needing track down an obscure c-mount filter.
Are there any particular brands or features I should look for in a c-mount lens to more likely get one that works well with IR?
