I would get it if I knew it would work with the Sammy, I've tried the demo and it freezes when I click on preferences, so I've no idea whats behind there that's causing to freeze and stop responding but some of the other apps in it work ok, the histogram, amp glow and darks work ok and I think that's the main ones you would use

Like you mentioned Histogram, amp glow, darks etc. And functions that access the camera will not work. Its designed specifically for the mallincam and most functions will not work for other cams. But if your goal is just to use the histogram function than it will work, but not worth $49 for just that. It would be nice if bill made a generic rs-485 pelco protocol software package that would work with any cameras. But He probably has a deal with Mallincam to keep it exclusive, but not sure.

John like you say the histogram, amp glow and darks thing work fine but also the stacking thing and the smoothing thing seem to work from what i can tell from a few basic tests. It did take a flakey when i tried to conned to nsn through it. Said at the bottom 'getting camera settings' then didnt respond. I just figured for all they features and the fact everyone uses and recommends it for astronomy and its not your typical 'video capture software' it has to be worth it

Chris, Miloslick won't connect direct to NSN. You have to capture the Miloslick Preview Frame with programs like WebcamMax, manycamm etc.
Bill from Miloslick hopes to work out how to get it to connect directly one day, but apparently it isn't a easy thing to do because of Adobe Flash's compatability requirements and bypassing conflicts.

Sorry Ken either im an evil genius or you heard that wrong I had everything working fine last night connecting directly to nsn through miloslick. No sky to show people but still got about 12 viewers watching nothing lol I did face 'Nev's' issue from the other day tho...i.e. outside preview screen showed fine but broadcast screen was just grey. Messed about with flash settings and it worked fine after that

Ken why do you need the Miloslick preview frame? I just been using the NSN frame to look at the adjustments I make through miloslick because theres no preview and also open another NSN window and I can see what the viewer see's. am I doing it wrong. I know your way is simpler to do but didn't want the hassle of the other software

WOW! You should email Bill and tell him how you did it. He has people asking him to write the program into Milo so they can go direct without the need of WebcamMax etc. He would be interested to know how you do it. Me too actually, and probably lots of other people.

I'd be interested as well on how you're able to get your image to NSN only using a browser and the Miloslick software. Please share some details as that would be some good news. Are you able to use all the capabilities (filters, stacking, etc.) of the Miloslick software and have them show up on the image on NSN? Looking forward to the info, thanks! Ken and dave Is this directed to Chris?

John, at both you and Chris, if you are both able to broadcast Miloslick directly into NSN without the use of a capture software like WebcamMax, Manycam etc.
Miloslick shouldn't be able to do it, yet you both say it works. That is fantastic.

quick up date, dark frame subtraction does not work in NSN. I don't know if that's because I'm not using a MC

Hey guys.....eh i didnt do anyhting special to make it work Martin you dont even need a browser just miloslick and that connects to nsn through the software As i said i faced the same issue as Nev seen the other day. (outside preview screen before you join the channel showed my image but main broadcasting screen was grey for the viewers) But a quick play about with the flash settings....again i didnt do anything special just unticked and ticked random options. Then i unplugged my capture card and re-connected. Boom! full picture displayed and broadcasting live John good to know about the darks. i didnt test that on nsn i dont think. The smoothing and the stacking features work tho mate!

Ok sorry i was wrong. I gave it a test tonight using a object this time. You can connect directly to nsn through miloslick... but as hemmi and john says nothing works! Only brightness contrast etc. So theres pretty much no point in doing that as you lose all other features. Need to stick to some software like manycam or webcammax. Sorry for the misleading info

I'm not software savvy, but I wonder if there is a way to write a script to migrate the NSN preview into the miloslick software, I might be talking a load of tosh

Can i ask if you guys face the same issue as me. When i open Miloslick it doesnt matter if i have it open in a small window or full screen (when i make the window bigger it just stretches the image). I cant fit the whole image in the preview window. So to see the full picture i need to drag the mouse about to move the picture. However the main issue is when i turn on some feature like smoothing or stacking. When i do that it zooms in slightly showing even less of the picture and now it cant be moved and is stuck in place. So if anything is on the lower right of the picture it will be out of view. And i cant move the picture while a feature is on. Any ideas? Do you guys even see the same results as me? Before you ask... yes i have zoomed all the way out using the slider bar at the top

Sorry Chris, I can't help. I haven't noticed it in the few hours I used it. I am hoping to use it again tonight (in about 1 hour) so I will have a look then to see what you mean.
