As good as Forums etc are, Forums and Facebook aren't permanent copies for future reference Davy. Believe it or not, in the future, people (including yourself) will want to see records of how the club started. Having paper copies are great as they can hold them and read them. Even if they are just scribbled notes with dates of foundation, who were the members at the start, who started it etc. Photos really help too. It might seem trivial now, but when your grandkids or great grandkids or anyone in the future (even Historians) want to know, they won't be able to research it on facebook or a Forum. Facebook and Forums may not exist in the future, and they aren't recognised as factual documents. Paper notes, flyers, ads etc are like gold to Historians. If you don't want to pass them on to a local Historical Society, at least keep copies of everything to pass on to a club secretary later on when you get one, so the Club will have records of the foundation. Someone will eventually pass them on to interested organisations one day. Future members might also want to know the history of the club. In 10 - 20 years time I bet you won't remember the date of foundation, who were the first members, where was your first club meeting held etc etc etc
